Verdant Commerce is operated by Ashley Verdant Limited (NZBN pending), based in New Zealand. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Ashley Verdant Limited.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Name and email address when you create an account
• Store name and business details during onboarding
• Payment information processed securely through our payment provider
• Any data you manually enter (costs, notes, etc.)

Information from connected platforms:

• Order data (order totals, line items, shipping charges)
• Product data (names, SKUs, costs, inventory levels)
• Customer order counts (we do not store end-customer personal information)

Information collected automatically:

• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited and features used within the Service
• IP address and approximate location (country level)
• Cookies for authentication and session management

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Calculate profit margins, inventory levels, and freight costs
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts)
• Improve the Service based on usage patterns
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We only share your data with:

• Supabase: database hosting and authentication (servers in Australia/US)
• Vercel: application hosting
• Payment provider: processes subscription payments (we do not store your full card details)

We may also disclose information if required by New Zealand law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers managed by Supabase, with encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security policies to ensure your data is only accessible to your account. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days in case you reactivate, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent for data processing

To exercise any of these rights, email cooper@ashleyverdant.co.nz. We will respond within 20 business days as required by the Privacy Act.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. By using the Service, you consent to our use of essential cookies.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside New Zealand (including Australia and the United States) through our hosting providers. We ensure these providers maintain appropriate data protection standards.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects when changes were last made.
